About us

The Scheme has been specially designed for New Zealand's teachers and principals in state and state-integrated schools and is part of the Employee Retirement Plan, a multi-employer, defined contribution superannuation scheme registered under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

The Teachers' Scheme was launched by the Ministry of Education in September 2002.

The Government closed the Teachers' Scheme to new members from 30 September 2008.
